Newcastle Greyhound Stadium, formerly known as Brough Park, has been a staple of Byker since 1928, hosting thrilling greyhound racing five days a week—Tuesday through Saturday. Home to three prestigious Category One events—the ARC Northern Puppy Derby, ARC Northern Flat, and the Premier Greyhound Racing All England Cup—we’re at the heart of the racing community. About the role:
The Racing Office Assistant will support the racing managers within the racing office environment carrying out clerical tasks. They will support the welfare officer to enforce the highest possible greyhound welfare at all times and carry out tasks of printing official race cards for each meeting event.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to a variety of tasks.
- Greyhound Industry knowledge ideal.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills – able to communicate at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines.
What is casual work?
Casual work is a great solution as it enables you to work flexibly around other commitments in your life. Once you have registered your interest, we will contact you in advance to offer you department based shifts at racedays or hospitality functions. There are usually a range of shifts available and opportunities for work are based on busy seasons and the annual racing calendar. Positions will be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
